Description
At the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Steven Wasserman teaches. He graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in biology and MIT with a Ph.D. in biological sciences. Steve’s research on the fruit fly Drosophila’s regulatory circuits has advanced the disciplines of developmental biology, immunology, and reproduction. He taught genetics, development, and physiology to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students while he was a faculty member at UCSD and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Additionally, he has mentored over 50 aspiring researchers at the undergraduate and high school levels and over ten PhD students.
